This week, we warmly welcomed our esteemed Board of Directors as they gathered for the launching of our Onshore Loading Facilities and our last Board of Directors’ meeting for the year 2023.
The directors gathered with our management for a warm and casual welcoming dinner on the evening of 28 November 2023. This was followed by the momentous launch of our Onshore Loading Facilities the next morning. This event stood as a groundbreaking development, highlighting our ongoing commitment to diversifying the Brunei economy, creating new business opportunities, and fostering the growth of the downstream economy.
Expressing our sincere gratitude for the support received during our project financing years (2007-2022), a memento was presented to each of our Shareholder representatives. This symbolic gesture served as a token of appreciation, underscoring their support that had been instrumental in the growth and accomplishments of Brunei Methanol Company Sdn Bhd (BMC).
In the Board of Directors’ meeting that ensued thereafter where our management and directors focused on what was in store for the upcoming year, our Chairman, Mr. Takayuki Miyamoto, in his opening note, emphasized the need to remain optimistic, adaptable, relevant, innovative and resilient in the face of change.
