We welcomed the delegation from Chiyoda Corporation and the Advanced Hydrogen Energy Chain Association for Technology Development (AHEAD) to our office on 22 December 2023, where they expressed their gratitude to Brunei Methanol Company Sdn Bhd (BMC) for our unwavering support during the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO) and ENEOS operation period for their hydrogenation demo plant situated at Sungai Liang Industrial Park (SPARK).
The hydrogenation demo plant is a 12-month pilot project completed in 2020 for the production of liquefied hydrogen, which is then transported to Kawasaki, Japan, to determine the technical and commercial viability of supplying hydrogen as fuel internationally. The project aims to achieve global hydrogen transport and supply technology, paving the way for full-scale hydrogen power generation by 2030.
We are proud to have been a part of this project and to have contributed to the development of a sustainable energy future.
