To further enliven His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam's 73rd birthday celebration in the Belait District, members of the Executive Committee for His Majesty's birthday celebration in the Belait District organised the Belait River Traditional Boat Race 2019. The race was held on the waters of Belait River on 29 September 2019.
The event was graced by Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Kerna Dato Seri Setia Dr Awg Hj Abu Bakar Hj Apong, Minister of Home Affairs. The boat race was divided into 7 categories. A group of 20 rowers from Brunei Methanol Company Sdn Bhd participated in the boat race.
