On 27 October 2025, BMC proudly launched its first-ever Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) Week at Star Lodge Hotel, Jerudong, a week dedicated to learning, engagement, and building a resilient, safe, and sustainable future.

The opening ceremony was graced by Yang Mulia Shamir Salahudin, Managing Director of Petroleum Authority; and Yang Mulia Haji Muhsin bin Haji Ahmad, Chief Executive Officer of the Safety, Health and Environment National Authority (SHENA). Their presence underscored the importance of fostering a strong safety culture and environmental awareness across the organisation.

Mr. Jesús Enrique Mora Marín, Chief Executive Officer of BMC, highlighted the heart of the initiative: “… we achieve reliability and sustainability through teamwork, awareness, and shared responsibility.”

The ceremony also featured an engaging Behavioural-Based Safety (BBS) Awareness Talk by Mr. Aliasman Morshidi from Scorpion Tact Services Sdn Bhd, reminding everyone that safety begins with the right mindset and everyday choices.

HSSE Week is not just about talks and ceremonies. It is packed with interactive activities to engage everyone. From quizzes and road safety campaigns to tree planting initiatives, every session empowers employees to take ownership of safety and sustainability, turning commitment into action.
