It was an exciting morning for BMC on 2 July 2025 when we warmly welcomed Dr. Nawshad Haque, a leading renewable energy researcher from Australia’s science agency, Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation.

The interactive session between Dr. Haque and our Management team focused on emerging hydrogen technologies, particularly the hydrogenation of carbon dioxide for green methanol, a product that is produced renewably. A walk-through of our facility and luncheon rounded up the visit.

BMC remains supportive of the country’s long-term energy transition, in line with one of the aspirations set out in the Ministry of Finance and Economy Economic Blueprint for Brunei Darussalam – promoting green growth initiatives and sustainable blue economy.

Thank you to the Australian High Commission in Brunei Darussalam for reaching out to make this visit possible.
