BRUNEI CLIMATE CHANGE SECRETARIAT EXPLORES SUSTAINABLE PRACTICES AT BMC

To gain insights into the sustainable practices in BMC, the Brunei Climate Change Secretariat (BCCS) made an official visit to our office on 25 January 2024.

The delegation was made up of Special Duties Officers, Senior Officers, and i-Ready apprentices, aimed to understand our approach to minimizing greenhouse gas emissions associated with methanol production, exploring its integration of renewable energy, compliance with regulatory frameworks, and commitment to building resilience against climate-related risk.

As part of the visit, the delegation had a plant tour whereby they had a firsthand look at our operational processes and sustainable initiatives.

We are pleased to have hosted the BCCS at our facilities. This visit not only highlights the importance of collaboration between government bodies but also reinforces our commitment to sustainable practices and environmental responsibility ensuring alignment with the goals of the Brunei National Climate Change Policy and Wawasan 2035 in pursuit of climate resilience and a greener future.

The images below show the BCCS delegation as they embark on a plant tour of our facilities witnessing our sustainable practices and environmental excellence.
