As one of the sponsors of the 4th International Conference on Business, Economics, and Finance (ICBEF) 2023, organised by the Universiti of Brunei Darussalam, School of Business and Economics (SBE), our CEO Mr. Jesús Enrique Mora Marín on behalf of Brunei Methanol Company, was cordially invited to the conference’s opening ceremony on 18 September 2023, at the Senate Room, Chancellor’s Hall, Universiti of Brunei Darussalam (UBD).
Themed “Sustainable Green Future”, ICBEF 2023 served as a platform for researchers and practitioners to discuss global sustainability challenges and solutions. It underscored the paramount need to transition towards a green economy to achieve sustainable and inclusive development – a matter of global significance.
The opening ceremony was graced by the presence of Yang Mulia Pg Datin Seri Paduka Hjh Zety Sufina binti Pg Dato Haji Sani, the Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy (Fiscal), The Ministry of Finance and Economy.
Professor Peter Newman, distinguished professor from Curtin University, Australia, delivered a captivating keynote address. His insights and expertise in sustainability further enriched the discourse on achieving a sustainable green future. A dinner was hosted at the Presidential Lounge, the Rizqun International Hotel, with the attendance of Associate Professor Dr. Abby Tan, Assistant Vice-Chancellor (Research), UBD as the guest of honor.
