In support of World Health Day 2026, we hosted a stroke awareness talk on 21 April 2026, reinforcing our commitment to employee wellbeing.
Held in collaboration with the Brunei Neuroscience Stroke and Rehabilitation Centre of Jerudong Park Medical Centre, the session brought stroke awareness beyond clinical settings and into the workplace.
Led by Dr. Theint Thiri Nway, the talk highlighted key insights on stroke prevention and early detection, with a focus on hemorrhagic stroke under the theme “Understanding Hypertensive Hemorrhagic Stroke: A Silent Killer.”
With the powerful reminder that “Every Minute Counts,” employees gained practical knowledge on recognising early warning signs and acting fast when it matters most.
The session also featured a simulated stroke scenario, interactive activities, and a Q&A, making learning both engaging and impactful.
Through initiatives like this, BMC continues to foster a workplace culture that prioritises health awareness, prevention, and care, while strengthening collaboration with healthcare partners in advancing community wellbeing.
