As part of BMC's HSSE Week 2026, we took another meaningful step in environmental conservation with our first mangrove planting initiative under the Carbon Akar Mangrove Restoration Project at Serasa Beach on 28 October 2026.

Building on three consecutive years of tree planting efforts, our Executive Management and employees came together to plant 52 mangrove saplings. The event also included a beach clean-up activity, where participants came together to collect 198kg of rubbish, contributing to a cleaner coastal environment. Together, these activities reflect the Company’s continued commitment to environmental conservation, coastal ecosystems restoration and biodiversity protection. 🌱

Joining us were our distinguished guests:

·       Yang Mulia Hairol Nizam bin Mokti, Director of Process Safety Division of SHENA.

·       Yang Mulia Muhammad Akmal Fikri Yusra, Acting Deputy Director of the Parks and Recreation Division at the Department of Environment, Parks and Recreation (JASTRe).

The event also welcomed representatives from JASTRe, Petroleum Authority of Brunei Darussalam (PA) and the Brunei Climate Change Office, whose presence added to this collective effort towards environmental conservation.

Guided by our CSR #RESPECT strategy, this initiative reflects our continued commitment to protecting the environment and supporting a more sustainable future, in line with Wawasan Brunei 2035.

💚 A big thank you to our distinguished guests and volunteers for getting their hands dirty and making every planting count!
