EXCLUSIVE SUSTAINABLE METHANOL FORUM

In conjunction with Brunei Methanol Company’s 15^th anniversary of commercial operations, we proudly hosted a thought-leadership forum to explore the future of sustainable methanol in the global energy transition.

Carrying the theme “Shaping the Future of Clean Energy Through Sustainable Methanol”, this exclusive, invitation-only event was officiated by Dato Seri Paduka ​Awang Haji Mohamad Azmi bin Haji Mohd Hanifah, Deputy Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office (Energy).

Our Chief Executive Officer, Jesús Enrique Mora Marín, delivered his opening remarks, and followed by presentations from leading local and international experts, and from the academia.

The forum featured discussions on emerging fuel pathways, economic diversification through methanol, the potential of e-fuels, renewable energy integration, ESG strategies and the role of research and innovation in advancing low-carbon solutions. Collectively, these insights highlighted the pivotal role of sustainable methanol in driving the energy transition and supporting Brunei’s long-term development goals. With our strong foundation and expertise, Brunei Methanol Company is well-positioned to support Brunei’s development goals while contributing to the global shift towards a more sustainable energy future.
