Because when people feel safe to speak up, safer workplaces follow.

BMC recently joined industry operators at the Psychological Safety Awareness Talk organised by Petroleum Authority of Brunei Darussalam for World Day for Safety and Health at Work 2026.

Representing BMC, our Occupational Health Specialist, Dison Hasma Randa, delivered an interesting session on “Psychological Safety in Practice: From Speaking Up to Preventing Harm.”

Key takeaways from the session include how psychological safety supports:

✅ Early reporting of health symptoms and fatigue

✅ Addressing exposure concerns and unsafe conditions

✅ Strengthening preventative workplace interventions

BMC also participated in an industry panel discussion focused on moving past a blame culture and creating environments where everyone feels safe to learn, contribute, and speak openly.

True workplace safety goes beyond physical protection. It starts with a culture of trust, openness, and mutual respect.
