On 30 April 2024, BMC and BFI collaborated with Brunei Fertilizer Industries Sdn Bhd (BFI) to host our very first joint celebration of Hari Raya Aidilfitri at the Multipurpose Hall, SPARK Centre.
Bringing together industry stakeholders, board members, business partners, and the Lumut-Liang community, the event was a testament to our shared commitment towards corporate social responsibility and community engagement. It also provided the opportunity to strengthen bonds through silaturrahim, which means the strengthening of relationships with friends, relatives, and the wider community.
Our CEOs, Mr. Jesús Enrique Mora MarÃn and Dr. Harri Kiiski, led the festivities alongside our executive management, department heads, and representatives from both companies. Donned in colorful and varied traditional outfits, we embraced ourselves in the lively ambiance of Hari Raya, indulging in traditional delights that further enliven the festive atmosphere.
Spreading the joy, BMC’s representatives brought smiles by distributing green packets to invited students from Pusat Ehsan Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam in the Belait District, as well as to families in need residing in Sungai Liang. This heartfelt gesture not only brought happiness but also extended a helping hand to those who need it most, making a positive difference in our community.
Complementing the festivities was a mini-exhibition showcasing the achievements and significant contributions of both companies, underscoring our role in driving the economic landscape of the Sultanate.
The event was a wonderful opportunity to build closer and lasting relationships with the communities we serve. Thank you to everyone who brought smiles, laughter, and positive vibes, contributing to the success of our joint celebration!
