On 5 July 2022, Brunei Methanol Company had the honour of hosting the Ambassador of Japan to Brunei Darussalam, His Excellency Mr. Toru Maeda, and the First Secretary, Ms. Emi Horiuchi, who made their first official courtesy visit to our office.
Japan has a significant and long-standing diplomatic and economic relationships with Brunei Darussalam, and BMC being the national pioneer petrochemical facility, the visit was aimed at understanding more about our business and the value-added products that methanol can offer. His Excellency also showed an interest in listening to our future company progression plans and the downstream development. The courtesy visit ended with a tour of our plant facilities.
