BRIDGING KNOWLEDGE AND INDUSTRY: SINGAPOREAN EDUCATION PROFESSIONALS EXPLORE METHANOL PRODUCTION PROCESS

On 10 September 2024, we had the opportunity of hosting a delegation of Singaporean education professionals at our methanol plant. The delegation, consisting of department heads and subject experts from various primary and secondary schools, is part of the Management and Leadership in Schools (MLS) programme at the National Institute of Education, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.

Their visit was part of a broader professional development initiative, aimed at gaining insights into the operational aspects of our methanol plant, applications, and the safety practices and technological advancements integral to our production process.

Our operations team facilitated a plant tour, offering the delegation a firsthand look at how industrial practices can enrich educational curricula. This experience bridges the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application within the petrochemical industry, reflecting our commitment to developing human capital.

By sharing real-world insights, BMC supports education professionals in preparing students for future careers in petrochemicals. The visit not only advances their professional development but also reinforces our dedication to nurturing future talent and strengthening our international ties with the Republic of Singapore.
