BMC HOSTS A STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT DIALOGUE SESSION TO PROMOTE TRANSPARENCY

Embracing transparency and community engagement, we recently hosted a Stakeholder Engagement Dialogue Session at the SPARK Mini Theatre on 5 March 2024. Attended by key stakeholders, including government agencies, relevant authorities, neighbouring companies, and local communities in Mukim Liang, the session provided insights into our upcoming maintenance activities, operations, company milestones and Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR) initiatives.

Our Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Abdul Mu’izz Bin Dato Paduka Haji Alikhan, graced the occasion with a warm welcome address. Beyond setting the tone, Mr. Muizz highlighted our notable achievements for the year 2023, where we surpassed 8 million metric tonnes in methanol production and achieved a safety record of over 9 million manhours without Lost Time Injury (LTI). The launch of our Onshore Loading Facility in November 2023 adds another chapter to our journey, aligning with His Majesty’s Government's vision for economic diversification in the downstream oil and gas sector.

The dialogue enabled us to address concerns, gather valuable feedback, and build strong relationships with our stakeholders. Since commercial operations in 2010, we have actively participated in outreach programmes and community events aligned with our CSR strategy #RESPECT for nation-building and community development.

Our commitment extends beyond operations – we advocate responsible business practices, leaving a positive footprint in the communities we operate in.
