Jesús Enrique Mora Marín (Chief Executive Officer)
With an illustrious career spanning nearly 4 decades, Mr. Mora, who majored in Chemical Engineering from Universidad Central de Venezuela, played a pivotal role in the success of Metanol de Oriente, S.A. (METOR), a Mitsubishi-operated methanol plant in Venezuela. Although he retired in 2017, MGC sought for his expertise to oversee BMC’s technical growth and development. He started his career with BMC as the Executive Officer M in 2018. Mr. Mora is also a licensed Lead Quality of the Quality Assurance System and participated in Reliability Centered Maintenance Programme. Effective 1 January 2023, Mr. Mora succeeded as BMC CEO, where he is responsible for the management control and direction of day-to-day activities of the Company in accordance to any directive of Board of Directors, the laws of Brunei Darussalam and at the best interest of Company.
Akihiko Kiryu (Executive Officer M)
Mr. Kiryu graduated from Niigata Municipal Koshi High School in 1987 where he began his career with MGC as a staff member of the Engineering and Maintenance Department and worked his way up the corporate ladder gaining vast experience in the field. Mr. Kiryu held a portfolio as a project and construction advisor at both METOR and AR-RAZI, MGC-operated methanol plants located in Venezuela and Saudi Arabia for a one-year period, which adds on to his career highlights. Mr. Kiryu is a licensed Administrator of Mechanics under High Pressure Gas Law and Administrator of Hazardous Material under the Fire Defence law. In BMC, it is his duty to conduct advisory as well as mentoring in areas of methanol plant technical operation, and to ensure the proper and meaningful transfer of skills and know-how.
Yasuhisa Tsukamoto (Executive Officer I)
Mr. Tsukamoto started his career with ITOCHU in 1992 upon graduating with a Master’s Degree in Electronic Chemistry from Tokyo Institute of Technology. Throughout his years in ITOCHU, he is exposed to a variety of discipline such as finance, information technology, chemicals, energy and world trade, all of which are proven to be essential for him to carry the role as the finance and marketing executive in BMC. Having spent a number of years in China and Taiwan, Mr. Tsukamoto is also fluent in Mandarin. In BMC, it is his duty to conduct advisory as well as mentoring in areas of Financing and Marketing, and to ensure the proper and meaningful transfer of skills and know-how.
