Corporate Integrity Policy Statement

Brunei Methanol Company Sdn Bhd is committed to conduct its business ethically, and in full compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

All employees and contractors engaged under a contract for service or engaged by the Company for any business-related activity should maintain the values of integrity, honesty and professionalism at the highest level at all times during their employment or engagement, or when representing the Company in business dealings with third parties.

The Company:

  1. has zero tolerance for any forms of corruption, fraud, theft, maladministration, bribery and/or any dishonest activities by employees, persons acting on our behalf and contractors engaged under a contract for service or engaged by the Company for any business-related activity;

  2. prohibits bribery and facilitation payments in any form in all Company’s business dealings;

  3. does not offer or accept gifts and hospitality that could be perceived to influence business decisions or processes, and prohibits our employees from doing so; and

  4. avoids actual, potential or perceived conflicts of interests between our private activities and company business.


To fulfil the above commitment, the Company will:

  1. maintain a Code of Conduct to create human capital with high ethical value and integrity;

  2. provide visible and confidential channels for employees and third parties to raise concerns about any suspicions of non-compliance with this policy. The Company expressly prohibits any form of retaliation against individuals who raise the concerns on good faith, or who assist in a complaint investigation;

  3. ensure all Company documentation are accurate, complete and truthful; and

  4. maintain the confidentiality of commercially and technically sensitive information.


Substantiated breach of this policy will be grounds for disciplinary action which may include termination of the employee and instruction to withdraw the services of contractor’s personnel. Allegations of corruption will be referred to the Brunei Anti-Corruption Bureau for their further action.
